Christian artist Forrest Frank just hit a major milestone on the Billboard charts.
“Billboard just updated that we have the #1 album and #1 song,” Frank wrote in an Instagram video.
His latest album, Child of God II, is No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart, while single “Your Way’s Better” sits at the top spot on the Hot Christian Songs chart.
“I don’t take any credit or receive any glory from this, but wanted to update yall & just say thanks for tuning in & letting me be a part of the soundtrack of your lives,” Frank wrote. “THANK YOU JESUS.”
This is the first time an artist has topped both the Top Christian Albums and Hot Christian Songs simultaneously since 2023, when Brandon Lake’s Coat of Many Colors and “Praise You Anywhere” held the No. 1 spots.
Forrest Frank is no stranger to topping the charts; Child of God II actually dethroned his previous album, Child of God, which has been No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart for the past 35 weeks.

In a conversation with GRAMMY.com, Frank explained, “When I was growing up, I didn’t necessarily have cool Christian music to listen to. If I was going to the gym or if I was at the beach, it seemed like there weren’t really any Christian songs that would fit those facets of life…So, I aspired to make Christian music that I think is cool. I’m just making it the way that I love it. I think that authenticity is what kids resonate with.”
The young artist was also named 2024’s New Artist of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards, where he told the audience in his acceptance speech, “This is just all for Him and everything I do is for the Lord.”
“For whatever reason, He has chosen to give me some songs that have related to some people. And if He shuts it off and doesn’t give me any more songs, then that is cool. And if He continues to bless it, that’s great,” Forrest Frank said.
He continued, “I want to continue to give Jesus glory because my name will fade away just like all of ours one day. But at the end of time, and for all of eternity, one Name will remain. And that is the name of Jesus Christ.”
Frank is also having success in the secular music world. Billboard recently wrote that Christian music is “making a serious comeback,” pointing to Frank and Lake’s massive popularity.
Lake’s “Hard Fought Hallelujah” hit No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100, while Frank’s “Your Way’s Better” made it to No. 62. Billboard noted that both artists’ “growing popularity across social media platforms like TikTok” is partly to thank for their secular success.
Forrest Frank’s chart-topping album and single are a sign of Christian music’s renewed popularity around the world.
