SUITS star Rick Hoffman has fans stunned with his new appearance.
The actor, who played Louis Litt on the show, lost weight and grew a full head of hair, as shown in a recent mirror selfie.
When a fan asked how he did it, he said, “Intense intermittent fasting and keto diet” and “no alcohol.”
“You look like Louis Fitt!” one person commented. Another said, “Wow didn’t recognize him for a sec.”
“Bro just got litttt uppppp!!!!!” another fan commented.
In a March interview, Hoffman opened up about his past health issues.
“At the age of 23, I had the biggest challenge I ever had. I got struck with major anxiety where I would be woken up, and I felt like I was jumping out of my skin 24/7 in this nightmare,” he said.
He was diagnosed with OCD and realized he saw things a lot differently than others did.
But Hoffman admitted, “Had I not had that happen, I never would have made it with any career. It was a real quick slingshot through life lesson to really know where you stand on this planet, which is just with everyone else.”
The role of Louis was especially challenging because every season presents something that he has to overcome.
“Every year it’s like ‘how the hell am I going to do this as an actor? How the hell am I going to accomplish what they want me to accomplish?’ It’s scary as hell, challenging as hell and then more times as not rewarding as hell when I feel like I’m proud of what’s been done,” Hoffman said.
One of the biggest things he’s taken from playing Louis is to not let self-doubt take hold of him.
“Having self-doubt is definitely necessary, but it’s about not letting it get in the way,” he told Backstage. “When it turns into fear, you run into problems. I’ve learned to dig out that doubt before it gets that far.”
After SUITS ended in 2019, Hoffman appeared six years later to star in SUITS: LA. He was nervous to play Louis again.
“Every single script I’ve ever gotten, when they call on Louis to do ridiculous s—, I completely panic and go, ‘It’s not going to work,’” he explained. “And then my anxiety and neuroses, somehow it works into some weird formula where it gets to this place where I just freak myself out enough to where I’m so prepared and ready to ground the hell out of it.”
Whether on screen or off, Hoffman clearly embraces challenges that push him out of his comfort zone.
