4 Christian Celebrities Spreading Christmas Cheer This Season
By Tess Farrand, Staff Writer
As we celebrate the birth of The Savior, the Christmas season unearths a desire in some to give back and spread cheer to those around us. Here are a few believers who are effectively putting this into practice….
- Mark Wahlberg
In 2001, Mark and his brother Jim Wahlberg created the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation. According to the foundation’s website, MWYF strives to bless youth through funds and enrichment programs. In celebration of the Christmas spirit, MWYF, partnered alongside Acer and Connection IT Solutions to give 250 laptops to Boston-area children for Christmas!

- Lacey Chabert
As one of the many faces for Hallmark Christmas movies, Chabert enjoys acting in movies that will uplift the whole family! Chabert starred in PRIDE, PREJUDICE AND MISTLETOE, a Christmas movie that premiered in November and spoke about her affection for Hallmark. “I’m really proud of the content…The values that are represented in their films are very much intrinsically who they are as a company.” The sweetness and feel-good messages in her Christmas movies are a way that Chabert blesses audiences around the world!
Currently, Chabert is already gearing up for her next Hallmark movie.
- Sam Sorbo (pictured above on the left)
In a recent article for Fox News, Kevin Sorbo’s wife, Sam Sorbo, shares how she’s using cookie decorating to connect with her family and cultivate the Christmas spirit. “Spending time with my children, exploring new experiences and sharing in creative endeavors, is my source of joy and the greatest gift I can think of.” Sorbo continues, “Christmas inspires these moments to cherish, a time to create memories that last. And new Christmases always bring these wonderful memories back.”
Do you take moments like this to share with your loved ones?
- Gary Sinise (pictured above)
Started by the FORREST GUMP alum, the Gary Sinise Foundation helps to support and uplift veterans and servicemen across the country. For GSF’s annual Snowball Express event, over 1,000 deserving children of fallen servicemen and Gold Star families traveled from Los Angeles, California to Orlando, FL. The reason? To fly to Walt Disney World and make Christmas memories that will last a lifetime!

Over 1000 Gold Star Children travel with surviving parent or guardian, 1,722 in all, via @americanair to Disney World today as part of our @garysinisefoundation Snowball Express program. This charter left Los Angeles this morning and I got to take this photo with them before they left. I’ll join up in a few days. Have fun kids! We love you!
