Alison Sweeney is cooking up something special for her Hallmark fans: another HANNAH SWENSEN MYSTERY!
“A disappearance and a murder are no match for Hannah and Chad. 🧁 @alisweeney and @iamvictorwebster star in Best Served Cold: A #HannahSwensen Mystery, premiering Saturday, May 16 at 8/7c,” Hallmark and Sweeney announced on social media in April.

In BEST SERVED COLD, “…a suspect in a forgery case is murdered and the prosecutor goes missing, [so] Hannah and Chad must uncover how the two cases are connected and solve them in time for the trial,” Hallmark’s synopsis reads.
Alongside Sweeney, the TV movie stars Victor Webster and Barbara Niven.
BEST SERVED COLD is an exciting surprise for Sweeney’s fans. They’re already getting another HANNAH SWENSEN MYSTERY this month.
SUGAR & VICE, which premieres on Thursday, May 14 at 8/7c, follows Hannah, who “finds a body at the grand re-opening of the Lake Eden Inn. When a storm traps everyone inside, Hannah must find the culprit before the road clears and the killer escapes,” Hallmark shared about the upcoming movie.
Even though she’s been working on the franchise for over a decade — there are 12 other HANNAH SWENSEN MYSTERY movies — Sweeney can’t get enough.
“I can’t tell you how much I enjoy it,” she told EntertainmentNow earlier this year about her love for the franchise. “I mean, I love the acting and I always will. It’s always going to be my favorite thing in the world, but I love developing the whole story, being part of it from the beginning, working with the director, working with the locations.”

A SPRINKLE OF DECEIT: A HANNAH SWENSON MYSTERY follows Hannah Swenson as she returns to the world of private investigation to clear the name of her friend, who is the primary suspect after a murder occurs in her small town. Through sneaky investigation and clever insights, Swenson uncovers the murderer, though not without finding herself in a spot of trouble.
Though A SPRINKLE OF DECEIT features generally good acting, the movie is marred by Hannah’s mom, played by Barbara Niven, who is highly over-the-top, taking away from the plot. Furthermore, the movie breaks one of the main rules of mystery by revealing relevant information about the killer just before they confess, leaving the audience unable to deduce who the criminal is. The movie, however, promotes strong biblical lessons of justice and being a good friend. Furthermore, A SPRINKLE OF DECEIT features no foul language, sex or nudity. There are multiple sexual innuendos, however. Thus, MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children.
