SUMMARY: STEALING FROM GOD: WHY ATHEISTS NEED GOD TO MAKE THEIR CASE is a well-written book showing how the most popular arguments for atheism, instead of disproving God’s existence, reveal that He actually exists and that Christianity is true. Written by Frank Turek of Cross Examined, a popular, successful Christian ministry, STEALING FROM GOD makes some of the best arguments for Christianity in the last 25 years, with many logical, empirical arguments that Christian evangelists need to place in their toolbox for refuting the arguments of non-Christians, especially atheists, and convincing them of the case for Christianity.
IN BRIEF:
STEALING FROM GOD: WHY ATHEISTS NEED GOD TO MAKE THEIR CASE is a valuable, well-written book. Written by Frank Turek of Cross Examined, a popular, successful Christian ministry, the book shows how the most popular arguments for atheism, instead of disproving God’s existence, reveal that God actually exists and Christianity is true. For example, Turek shows pretty convincingly that the laws of logic actually disprove atheism and make the case for the existence of God. That’s mostly because the laws of logic are an essential part of God’s nature or character. The book also discusses science, morality, the fine tuning of the universe, the problem of evil, and the reliability of the New Testament documents.
STEALING FROM GOD makes some of the best arguments for Christianity and against atheism of any book written in the last 25 years. It has our favorite arguments for the divine origin of reason and logic. STEALING FROM GOD supports putting your trust in Jesus Christ and in His Gospel. The book has some short references to violence and sexual immorality during discussions of morality, however.
