Candace Cameron Bure and Husband Val Celebrate 25 Years of Marriage: ‘Praise the Lord’

Candace Cameron Bure and her husband Val celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on June 25. They gave glory to God for the years of knowing each other.
Bure shared a special moment with fans of her and Val on the beach, enjoying “God’s creation.”
Under the photos, Bure said the secret to their 25 years of marriage is God.
“June 22nd we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary!! 25 years!! Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and, in humility, our willingness to trust Him and allow those who’ve gone before us and those who haven’t but know God’s Word to speak into us. And grateful for every other bit of solid advice and encouragement in between,” Bure shared on her Instagram.
Although Bure confessed that their marriage is not perfect, she trusts that God has deepened their relationship with one another over the years.
“I’m often asked for marriage advice. What’s the secret? Lord knows I will never write a book about it because we are still learning every year, every day,” Bure said. “Grace. Grace. Grace. Communication (which is so important but difficult when one partner isn’t willing.) Sex. Laughter. Patience. Lots of patience. Love (a verb. which must be put into action, it’s not just a feeling).”
She added: “No marriage is picture perfect. Not one. And certainly not ours. But through thick and thin, ups and downs, God has blessed us tremendously with guidance and perseverance. I believe God is the secret sauce. I have more love for this man today than the day we married each other… And I know he does for me. Praise the Lord.”

In a follow-up post, Bure shared a video of her and Val on the beach and asked her husband what his advice is for a long and happy marriage.
“My advice, give your life to Jesus,” Val responded. “Because without Him, no marriage will work, or life in general. Thank you Jesus.”
Bure is outspoken about her faith and recently shared a similar sentiment for when her children start to date.
