Candace Cameron Bure Kicks Off 2025 with This Bible Story

Candace Cameron Bure is starting her New Year at the beginning…the beginning of the Bible, that is.
In a recent podcast episode, Bure rang in 2025 by reading Genesis 1 to her viewers.
“I just thought that today would be the perfect time to just start at the beginning, literally the beginning of creation,” she explained. “So, here we go.”
She then pulled out her Bible and read:
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth. The Earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, ‘Let there be light’ and there was light, and God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light ‘day’ and the darkness ‘night,’ and evening passed, and morning came, marking the first day.
She continued reading the account in Genesis, including how God created waters, plants and lights in the sky, calling them all “good.”
“I really hope you enjoyed that,” she said when she finished reading. “It’s just amazing to me, and I think when He says ‘God created us’ or ‘God created human beings in our image,’ He’s talking about all three of them being present: God the Father, God the son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit,” she explained. “All there from the beginning at creation. Anyway guys, until next, time be grateful all day every day.”

This year, Bure plans to read through the whole Bible.
“I want to prepare you that if you want to read through the Bible in a year to join me again with the Bible Recap,” she posted on Instagram. “It’s hosted by Tara-Leigh Cobble, and it’ll take you through the Bible, reading chronologically.”
