Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, and Blake Shelton All Thank God for ACM Award Wins

Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, and Blake Shelton all took home ACM Awards this week, and they all thanked God while doing it.
Shelton won the ACM Single of the Year Award for his song titled “God’s Country.”
Some of the lyrics read,
We pray for rain, and thank Him when it’s fallen
‘Cause it brings a grain and a little bit of money
We put it back in the plate
I guess that’s why they call it God’s country
“Holy cow, Single of the Year!” Shelton said while accepting the award. “This is a complete shock and an absolute honor.”
Shelton didn’t forget to thank God while accepted the award.
“Thank you, Gwen Stefani, for continuing to encourage me to keep doing this and keep trying. And being my inspiration. Thank you, God, thank you, everybody. Single of the Year, yes!” he said.
Movieguide® previously reported that Stefani encouraged him in his walk with the Lord.
“I believe in God now more than I ever have in my life,” THE VOICE coach said. “The biggest part of that is just how (Gwen) came into my life and now our relationship. It’s just too weird. If you take God out of it, it doesn’t make sense. If you put God into it, everything that’s happened with us makes sense.”
Two other country stars that openly share their Christian faith also tied for the biggest award of the night, Entertainer of the Year.
Thomas Rhett was announced first.
“Thank You to the Lord Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Thank you so much, my wife, my baby girls who are watching this right now, Willa Gray, I love you. Ada James, I love you. Lennon, I love you,” Rhett exclaimed in his acceptance speech.
Keith Urban, the host of the awards show, then announced Carrie Underwood as the second winner.
“Thank You, God, so much. All glory, glory to God,” she said. “And thank you to the ACMs, not just for this, but for putting me in such incredible company. I am more than happy to share this with Thomas Rhett.”
