CeCe Winans on Sharing Faith With Younger Generations: ‘A Life is Worth It’

Gospel icon CeCe Winans is sharing the importance of generational faith and how she uses her influence to share her faith.
“I’m strong in my faith today because the generation before me understood the importance of it being the foundation of my life, and I really owe my life to those who took out the time to pour the foundation of faith into me,” she said during an appearance on the “Livin’ The Bream” podcast. “I realized it’s my turn to make sure that I pour everything I possibly can into those who are coming after me.”
Winans continued, “Where I am, the influence God has given me — it’s just so important that I use as much time as I possibly can sharing that faith, because it makes all the difference in the world, in how you live your life and also where you’re going to live after this life.”
“The investment is worth it. A life is worth it,” she said, explaining that sharing her faith “will stabilize these young people who are coming after you.”
Winans explores this idea in her 2022 book “Believe for It: Passing on Faith to the Next Generation.”

Gospel legend Cece Winans is sharing her story in a new book, “Believe For It: Passing on Faith to the Next Generation.”
The book details the events in Winans’ life that led to her strong Christian faith today. The singer links her stories together with the message that everyone has a responsibility to pass on their faith to their family and friends.
“We all have been influenced by those who came before us,” Winans said. “You don’t have to be related by blood to have a spiritual influence on someone’s life.”
“Believe For It” is also the name of Winans’ 2021 live album. The singer just kicked off a 21-city tour earlier this month, with shows planned in Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
Winans recently celebrated her latest album, “More Than This,” debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
“I am humbled by it. I’m excited,” she told CBN News. “I feel like we have created something that people are going to embrace. And it is more than entertainment. It is something that will minister to the hearts of the people. When you listen to this record, to me the highlight is when the audience is singing. I just felt like this must be the closest thing to heaven, these voices.”
