Demi Lovato Gets a New Tattoo Featuring ‘Holy Trinity’ That Symbolizes Her ‘Spiritual Awakening’
By Allyson Vannatta, Staff Writer
Singer Demi Lovato revealed she got a new tattoo that she says features the Holy Trinity.
The tattoo shows three doves lifting up a woman as she sheds her darkness:
“I told him about my life and where I was at in that moment and we created a combination on images that best symbolized the spiritual awakening I was having. Having a fallen angel being lifted by 3, pure, angelic doves (the Holy trinity) as her inner light is being guided by a higher consciousness, and the disintegration of her dark wings was representing the darkness I was shedding.”
It is clear from Lovato’s tattoo description that she still has much to learn about theology, but is opening her heart more to the work of the Holy Spirit. Many Christians are divided on the subject of tattoos, and some believers see the markings as inappropriate or even sinful based on Levitical scriptures. Please continue to pray that the Lord reveals the Truth to her as she draws closer to Him.
Lovato explained that she got the tattoo during her social media hiatus, which included her recent popular performances. During that time, Lovato says she was also exploring her faith. her recent absence on social media and what the new tattoo means to her.
“I recently went dark on social media in preparation for my Grammy and Super Bowl performances.” She continued, “I told him about my life and where I was at in that moment and we created a combination on images that best symbolized the spiritual awakening I was having.”
Movieguide® previously reported that the entertainer is now focusing on her relationship with the Lord and attending church in Los Angeles.
“He took me there and I had heard God clearer than I had heard him in a long time. I need to focus on myself and my relationship with myself and my relationship with God,” said Lovato.
Please continue to pray for Lovato as she continues to heal from her past experiences. Pray that she seeks the Lord in all she does and that she grows closer to Him and His Word.
