At 72 years old, Roseanne Barr is living her dreams and overcoming obstacles…literally.
Recently, she got trapped under a tree, a situation she escaped with willpower, her “ox” strength and God’s help.
“Well, it’s a dream come true. I live the life I always wanted to live in my 70s,” she told Fox News Digital. “You know, I’m doing a lot of mowing. I’ve got a really fantastic tractor out here, and I’m mowing, and…the only problem is, I don’t clear the trees quite as good as I should, and I’m always hitting a tree and knocking it over, and it always hits me in the head.”
Recently, one of these trees didn’t just hit her; it trapped her under it.
“I’ve had several injuries recently,” she said, showcasing her scrapped up and bandaged arm. “I had this one tree, I guess it was two nights ago…a great big old branch fell right on my head and trapped me in my tractor. So, I knew I had to get out of there. And it weighed about 100 pounds. It took me an hour to move it inch by inch, and then I had to flip it over.”
Barr credits God’s answer to her prayers for the strength to move the tree off.
“I just said my mighty prayers that always work. I said, ‘Come on, God, I’m 72 years old, and I just want to be able to harness all this strong Russian ox energy that I know I still have in there if you’re with me.’ And I just flipped it. I was amazed, too,” she explained.
The actress and comedian added, “I can’t blame it. It did bang me up a lot. But, I mean, I was proud of myself, you know.”
Barr currently lives in Texas and is enjoying all the benefits of slow country living. Her son Jake Pentland shared in April, “We have 30 acres and live up in what they call ‘Hill Country.’ Roseanne also drives the tractor often, which allows her to mow the lawn. She drives around. She occasionally runs into trees, but just keeps the yard up.”

He added, “My mom lives with me, my wife and my two daughters. She’s the best grandma.”
Earlier this year, Barr took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of her with some of her grandchildren.
In the caption, she said, “Love spending time with my grand babies. Wish they were all here…”
Barr’s lifestyle is a reminder to take time to slow down, enjoy the little things and spend quality time with loved ones — and always ask God for help.
