Dwayne Johnson Thanks God for Health After Testing Positive for Coronavirus

By Allyson Vannatta, Senior Writer

Dwayne Johnson, more commonly known as “The Rock,” thanked God for the health of his family after they all tested positive for coronavirus.

“We are on the other end of it, we’re on the other side, we’re no longer contagious and we are, thank God, healthy,” Johnson said in a video posted on his Instagram. “We’ve gotten through COVID-19 stronger and healthier.”

He revealed that he and his family have been dealing with COVID-19 for “two and a half to three weeks now,” and that it’s one of the most “challenging and difficult things” they’ve endured as a family.

Johnson explained how his first priority is to always protect his family, kids and loved ones, and he wished it was only himself who tested positive.

The family is now “counting their blessings” because they know making it through the novel virus isn’t something everyone gets to celebrate.

He explained the symptoms that his two little girls had, and how he and his wife, Lauren, had it worse than the children.

The JUMAJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE actor also took time to share some takeaways with his followers.

The first is to be disciplined about having people to your house, because they caught the virus from very close family friends.

The next is to be committed to health and wellness.

Finally, he told his followers to wear a mask.

He summed these takeaways up in the caption of the video:

“Stay disciplined. Boost your immune system. Commit to wellness. Wear your mask. Protect your family,” he wrote. “Be strict about having people over your house or gatherings. Stay positive. And care for your fellow human beings. Stay healthy, my friends.”
