TobyMac and Forrest Frank are collaborating on a new version of Mac’s song, “Heaven On My Mind.”
The news comes one month after Mac’s album of the same name was released. On the 12-track album, Mac explores his thoughts and questions about eternity, as reported by The Christian Beat. The album also includes songs about finding joy after loss and hardship.
“For the last few years eternity has not been something I thought much about but lately it’s been on my mind a lot,” Mac shared. “I want to put treasure in Heaven which begins with loving well, being compassionate and treating people with dignity. We can make it as confusing as we want, but loving God and loving people is the road I want to walk.”
Mac just finished his spring Hits Deep Tour, and his song, “a lil Church (nobody’s too lost),” also from the album, has been topping radio charts. It follows his hit song from 2024, “Nothin’ Sweeter,” which had a long run in the No. 1 spot at nine weeks.
Mac hinted in an Instagram post last week that he was collabing with a mystery artist. He let his Spotify listeners know that they may already know who it is.
“I think he’s really talented and really dope,” TobyMac shared in a clip from his Spotify. “His delivery is incredible,” he teased. “Anyway, I’ve been talking to him about maybe a collab, and you might have heard it first right here on Spotify, but I believe something is around the corner.”
“Matter of fact, I know it is,” he continued. “Don’t tell everybody; I want to surprise ’em. Anyway, you can count on that. Between us, y’all, between us.”

“Any guesses?” he captioned the post.
The following day, he dropped the reveal, and fans went wild.
“Oh my word this is the collab we have all been waiting for! 🔥” one fan commented.
“My husband literally a couple days ago was like ‘I wonder if TobyMac & Forrest would do a song together’ ayeee” said Christian artist Anike.
“This is the collab we need 👏” someone else wrote.
“Setting our minds on things above….grateful for this collab with @hiforrest” Mac said Monday.
Hope Nation said the special thing about the song is that it “bridges generations” between Frank’s Gen Z audience and TobyMac’s older listeners.
“Heaven On My Mind definitely feels like sunshine in your speakers…” Hope Nation wrote. “It’s smooth, hopeful, and instantly makes you want to roll the windows down.” In other words, it’s a happiness boost. The bubbly and buoyant music is a joyful way to express looking forward to Heaven.”
