HEARTLAND Season 17 Not Available on Netflix Until 2025

By Movieguide® Contributor

HEARTLAND fans will have to wait until next year to watch the hit Canadian show on Netflix, but UP Faith & Family subscribers have access to it now.

TV Insider reported, “UP Faith & Family, a commercial-free subscription streaming service, said in a press release that it will be the exclusive U.S. home of Homeland Season 17 — and that Netflix won’t be able to add Season 17 to its U.S. streaming library — until early 2025.”

The newest season premiered on UP Faith & Family in April but took a short break after five episodes. It will resume on Thursday, June 20.

“Fans of HEARTLAND know that UP Faith & Family continues to be the exclusive home of the newest season and the first place to see all episodes of their favorite series here in the U.S,” said Hector Campos, UP Entertainment’s Senior Vice President of Content Strategy and Programming.

Movieguide® previously reported on why HEARTLAND actress Amber Marshall thinks fans love the show:

“I think fans are really looking for a nice, wholesome, family show that they can sit down together and watch and not be worried about the content. Not have to explain things to their kids,” Marshall explained. “That is their common thread. It’s something we can all enjoy and sit and talk about. In such a fast-paced world, where so many people are separated by devices and technology. Everybody is very disconnected, but they can still get together to sit and watch our show together.”

HEARTLAND is the longest-running drama in Canadian history. The show takes place in Alberta and currently has 16 seasons available on Netflix.

A synopsis reads, “HEARTLAND is a sprawling multi-generational saga about a family getting through the highs and lows of life on a horse ranch, set against the stunning vistas of the foothills of Alberta.”

Access to Season 17 is available with an UP Faith & Family subscription. It is $5.99/month for a monthly plan or $4.49/month for an annual plan. They also offer a seven-day free trial for those who want to check the streamer out before purchasing.
