Is This Version of The Last Supper More to Your Liking?

After the mockery of The Last Supper during the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, THE CHOSEN Creator Dallas Jenkins shared his version on Instagram.
“Is this better than the Olympics imagery? :)” Jenkins wrote.
“A picture is worth a thousand words and this one is saying everything,” came a comment from the official THE CHOSEN Instagram account.
The post comes just days after drag queens reenacted the famous Leonardo DaVinci painting during the Olympic Opening Ceremonies in Paris. The swift backlash caused the Olympic Committe and performers to backtrack quickly and try to say it was instead based on an interpretation of Greek mythology.
However, Evie Magazine got the screenshots to prove that the initial re-enactment was, in fact, a direct mockery of the Christian faith.
Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps apologized on Sunday for those offended by the scene.
“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. On the contrary, I think (with) Thomas Jolly, we really did try to celebrate community tolerance,” Descamps said. “Looking at the result of the polls that we shared, we believe that this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offense, we are, of course, really, really sorry.”
While some Christians have called for boycotts over the international games, others maintain that the athletes should not be punished for the offensive performance.
“This was a very small part of it, and it’s what’s consumed so much of America, I guess, and I would say, you know, it happens every four years. There are young people who train their entire lives to be there, to represent our countries. Can we please give them the focus?” THE VIEW’s Ana Navarro said.
