Kathie Lee Gifford hopes her next book will strengthen your faith and knowledge of the Bible.

Titled Nero and Paul, the book is co-written with Dr. Bryan M. Litfin.

“Combining historical accuracy with narrative imagination, Nero and Paul drops you into the drama of human pride and divine destiny that unfolded on the stage of imperial Rome,” a synopsis reads.

It continues, “You’ll travel with Paul as he ventured from Jerusalem all the way to Spain, making friends, winning converts, and persisting through grueling opposition. You’ll see up close Nero’s kingdom of wealth, glamour, sex, and power — the proud trappings of a self-proclaimed god.”

Ultimately, the book focuses on “the Messiah’s life-giving good news of God’s presence indwelling his people.”

It releases March 10, 2026.

This is the second in a series of biblical books written by Gifford and Litfin. Their first book was Herod and Mary, which focuses on “Mary of Nazareth’s place under Herod’s rule and the promise of a Messiah to free her people.”

Previously Gifford opened up to Woman’s World about her passion for writing Bible-based books.

“My fascination with Herod goes back my first rabbinical trip,” she said, referring to her first book. “We believe that Jesus’ story is the greatest ever told. Well, Herod is the greatest story never told, unless you are some sort of a scholar.”

She found her co-author thanks to her son, Cody.

“My son, Cody, found this fantastic co-author for me [Brian M. Litfin, PhD], and Cody suggested a series of different books called Ancient Evil, Living Hope. The next one, I think, will be Nero and Paul. There’s always been evil, but there’s always been God’s presence in the world as well.”

Gifford added, “I must give my co-author Brian so much credit, because he’s written books of his own. Cody steered us, ‘Keep it a thriller, keep the narrative going, don’t get too lost in the minutiae.’ That’s the key. Keep the story thrilling. It’s a page-turner.”

Gifford is passionate about her faith and frequently shares inspirational posts to her Instagram account.

Earlier this week, she posted John 12:46: “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me should not abide in darkness.”

“Let His light lead you today. ☀️,” she added in the caption.

Though fans will have to wait until next year to read Nero and Paul, it is available for preorder.
