Monsters, Inc. Screenwriter Passes Away at Young Age

Saturday marked a sad day last weekend as the writer, Daniel Gerson, of MONSTERS, INC. and numerous other Pixar projects, passed away. Gerson had been battling with brain cancer and passed at the age of 49.

Gerson had written some MOVIEGUIDE® Awards winners, including: MONSTERS, INC., BIG HERO 6, and MONSTERS UNIVERSITY. He also worked on CHICKEN LITTLE, UP and INSIDE OUT. His legacy will live through the movies he made and continue to reach younger generations not just with laughs, but with messages of love, sacrifice and hope. Join MOVIEGUIDE® at this time in praying for his family.

And, Sulley closed the door on Boo, moving forward. Sulley: “I think we stopped him, Boo. You’re safe now.”
