New Streaming Bundle Offers Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video

Canadians will now get to access streaming platforms Disney+, Netflix and Prime Video all in one package.
“Telus, one of the most popular communication networks in Canada (and North America as a whole), is offering a three-in-one bundle in which their mobile phone customers can subscribe to Disney+, Netflix, and Prime Video for a single base cost of $20 (CAN) a month,” Inside the Magic reported.
The bundle, called Stream+, boasts savings of 17% per month. It offers two ad tiers. Stream+ Basic provides all three streaming platforms at just CA$20 with standard ads. Stream+ Premium offers the services without ads and includes Netflix Premium and Disney+ Premium, with their individual perks at CA$38 per month.
“Additionally, Stream+ will include a full membership to Amazon Prime, which itself costs $99 (CAN) a month,” Inside the Magic reported. “Clearly, Telus is positioning itself as an increasingly dominant force in streaming in Canada.”
“Streaming enthusiasts can easily add the new Stream+ bundle with eligible TELUS services directly on their My TELUS website or app, and watch from multiple devices simultaneously – including their TV, smartphone, tablet and laptop,” the Fast Mode reported. “This means customers can manage their subscriptions in one convenient place and binge-watch their favourites at home or on-the-go anywhere, any time.”
“In an era of multiple streaming options, bundling your favourite streaming services into one subscription to save money each month is a no brainer. Canadians will now be able to enjoy thousands of top titles from the three most popular streaming services, at savings you can’t find anywhere else,” said Telus Senior Vice-president of Mobility & Home Products and Transformation Dwayne Benefield.
If AT&T also attempts to corral the major streaming services, it could potentially be a hit with American audiences, too.
Movieguide® previously reported on the bundle trend of 2024:
When it comes to 2024 streaming trends, it looks like it’s going to be the year of the bundle…
Disney+ and Hulu are rolling out a combo streaming platform, while AppleTV+ and Paramount+ are supposedly in talks to create a bundle deal for subscribers.
Joe Earley, Disney’s president of direct-to-consumer, spoke about the partnership with Hulu, saying the goal for the bundle “is to inspire Disney+ and Hulu standalone subscribers to upgrade to the Bundle as well, once they see everything that can be accessed.”
