Seven-time Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky is ready to add more gold to her collection.

The 2024 Paris Olympics mark Ledecky’s fourth Games, and she plans to swim in the 400 meter, 800 meter and 1500 freestyle events, along with the 4×200 relay team.

On top of her 10 Olympic medals, the swimmer also holds two world records, one in the 1500-meter freestyle (15:20.48) and the other in the 800-meter freestyle (8:04.79).

In addition to her impressive swimming records, Ledecky became an author in June.

Her book, Just Add Water: My Swimming Lifedetails the Olympian’s swimming career, starting in “Bethesda, Maryland, where she played sharks and minnows and first discovered the joy of the pool.”

It highlights her first Olympic games where won gold at just 15 years old, her education at Stanford University and how she “developed a champion’s mindset that has allowed her to persevere through so many meets, even under intense pressure.”

“You learn how every element of her life—from the support of her family to the tutelage of her coaches, from her childhood spent in summer league swimming to the bright lights of Olympic pools in London, Rio, and Tokyo—set her up to become the champion she is,” the synopsis reads.

Ledecky shared the release of her book on her Instagram.

“Glad I saved all my journals over the years,” she wrote. “I never imagined I would make it to the Olympics, or be at this level, or write a book about this unlikely career that I’ve had.

“Just Add Water shares my story of swimming, and shows how the love, support, and encouragement of the people who have influenced me helped make it possible,” Ledecky continued. “I’ve really enjoyed this journey, and I hope you will too!”

Movieguide® previously reported on Ledecky’s faith:

After the 2016 Rio games, Ledecky told the National Catholic Register that her faith “is a big part of who I am and how I’ve made it here.”

“I’ve counted on my faith to give me strength through both training and competition — but also in school, with my family and everyday life. So, while my goals in the pool have changed, my faith remains something that’s consistent and something I can always rely on,” she revealed.
