Please join us in praying for Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk after he was shot at an event in Utah earlier today.
The 31-year-old father of two was shot in the neck at an TPUSA event at Utah Valley University this afternoon, Fox News reports.
“I’ve been in prayer for the Kirk family since I heard the news,” says Robby Baehr, Movieguide® president. “I’ve known him for years, and I am heartbroken. As Christian, I believe that prayer is the most proactive step we can take. Prayer can bring about miracles, and Charlie needs a miracle.”
Fox News says Kirk is currently in critical condition and was taken to a nearby hospital, per CNBC.
“We are confirming that he was shot and we are praying for Charlie,” said Aubrey Laitsch, public relations manager for Turning Point USA.
Prayers for Kirk and his family have poured out on social media.
“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot,” President Donald Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!”
“Lord please heal Charlie. Please save him. Jesus, be near to him. Please be with his wife and his children. Please be with the doctors, guide them. Help this nation, Lord. We need you so much,” podcaster Allie Beth Stuckey posted on Instagram.
Vice President JD Vance wrote on X, “Say a prayer for Charlie Kirk, a genuinely good guy and a young father.”
Kirk’s wife, Erika, tweeted after the shooting, “Psalm 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
