By Allyson Vannatta, Senior Writer
The SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE sequel is officially underway.
The first movie was nominated for Movieguide®’s Best Movies for Families in 2019.
Movieguide®’s review says, “SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE has an uplifting Christian, moral worldview. Its redemptive pro-family themes extol love, sacrifice, forgiveness, doing the right thing, saving others, and getting a second chance.”
SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE was also recognized by other critics, winning an Oscar and a Golden Globe for best animated movie.
The news of the sequel starting production comes from Sony Imageworks’ lead animator Nick Kondo.
Kondo tweeted, “First day on the job!” with a logo and release year video attached.
