Olympic hurdler Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is at it again!

While at the Olympic Trials on Sunday, McLaughlin-Levrone competed in the 400M hurdle event where she smashed her own world record.

With a time of 50.65 seconds, the athlete will now compete in the 400M hurdle event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This is the “fifth world record she has broken in three years. She was also the first woman to break the 52- and 51-second marks in the 400-meter hurdles,” Bleacher Report wrote.

After the race, McLaughlin-Levrone was shocked by her performance. The only thing she could do was give the glory back to God.

“Honestly, praise God! I was not expecting that but He can do anything. Anything is possible in Christ. So, yeah, I’m just amazed, baffled and in shock,” McLaughlin-Levrone said when asked what went through her mind as she broke another world record.

Even though she broke her own record, the track star is confident she can improve her time even more.

“I knew I was in 50-point high range, and it was just a matter of getting a stride pattern down,” she said during the broadcast. “I knew the fitness was there. I was a little shocked that it came together with not the best stride pattern…there’s still more we can work on.”

Her goal for Paris is to hit a sub-50-second run. It may seem impossible for most, but McLaughlin-Levrone is confident she can go for it.

“It’s really exciting, thinking about how to improve upon history,” she explained. “That’s always something I’m looking at.”

This will be McLaughlin-Levrone’s third Olympic games, and she is eager to secure herself another gold medal and maybe even break another world record.

“Excited for all that is to come. Looking forward to representing team USA ?? in Budapest! To God be the glory,” she added.
