Tim Tebow partnered with an investment firm for a $50 million initiative aimed at finding technological solutions to the problem of human trafficking.
“Eagle Freedom Fund I seeded the counter-trafficking industry. Eagle Freedom Fund II is growing the industry,” a post on Eagle Venture Fund’s website reads.
This fund has invested in 20 “high-growth companies” that have pledged to help fight human trafficking, including Tebow’s own Tebow Group.
“The first Eagle Freedom Fund seeded the counter-trafficking industry,” Wes Lyons, general partner of Eagle Freedom Fund II, told the Christian Post. “The second Eagle Freedom Fund will grow the counter-trafficking industry.”

Lyle Minton, CIO of Keel Point, a wealth management firm partnered with the Eagle Freedom Fund, said, “We have been energized by our partnership with the Eagle Freedom Fund. The first fund has been a successful addition to our values-based investment platform, and the portfolio companies are already producing tangible impact results for investors who want to align investment capital with their values and mission. We expect Eagle Freedom Fund II to continue to deliver impact and investment returns to our clients.”
“We need bold, strategic action in the fight against trafficking,” Tebow added. “That’s what gets me excited about Eagle Freedom Fund II, the chance to reach a scale of impact that can reach millions of children.”
Tebow has been fighting against human trafficking for years, both abroad and here in America. In a recent conversation with podcaster Shawn Ryan, the former NFL star said, “This is happening in our backyard. It’s overwhelming when you think how much is done by families, by friends, by those in the trusted circle.”
He even shared a red-dot map of the United States, where each dot represented a unique IP address that downloaded, shared or distributed child pornography of victims under the age of 12.
“I wanted to bring that because it brings to life so much of the evil that we’re trying to face,” Tebow explained.
For Tebow, this fight has become more personal. He told the Christian Post, “I just had a daughter, and I’m hungry to build a safer future for our children.”
Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh, welcomed daughter Daphne earlier this year. In a joint Instagram post, the couple wrote, “Here she is — our daughter. Our answered prayer. Daphne Reign Tebow — created in the image of God. Royalty as His princess. Our biggest prayer over her is to reign in God’s purpose for her life.”
With the financial support of these companies behind them, the Eagle Fund’s efforts to combat human trafficking are sure to pay off.
