Former TODDLERS & TIARAS Star Quit Pageants To ‘Focus On Schooling,’ Graduates As Valedictorian

Former TODDLERS & TIARAS star and actress Eden Wood just graduated high school, but she has no plans to return to Hollywood.

Wood appeared in several episodes of the reality show, centered around child beauty pageants. She also scored her own spin-off, EDEN’S WORLD. However, at 6 years old, Wood announced she would be retiring from the pageant circuit.

Shortly after, she won a role in a LITTLE RASCALS remake and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. By the time she hit fifth grade, though, Wood was ready to get back to a normal life in her native Arkansas.

“I took a break and was a regular kid. I focused on my schooling,” Wood said

In 2021, she spoke to People about how her strong ethic has fueled her, whether it’s at school, cheer practice, or auditions.

“Whether it’s a test I have to prepare for to keep that 4.0 GPA, a cheer stunt that I have to overcome the fear of doing, or an audition that takes me out of my comfort zone, whatever it is I’ll do it to the best of my ability,” Wood explained. “I’m also a very creative type — I love drawing or painting, and I especially love playing the drums and composing music.”

She continued, “At the end of the day, I’m a conqueror, no dream or obstacle is too big, and no task too hard IF you’re willing to put the work in. I guess I’m a ‘gotta make it happen’ kind of girl.”

That focus on her schooling paid off — Wood graduated as valedictorian of her class. She now has plans to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism.

“I want to do something that I love,” she shared. “I don’t want to be stuck doing a job that’s boring. I’ve been in front of a camera my whole life, so this feels like the perfect fit.”

Wood also has hopes to represent Arkansas in the Miss America pageant.

“I’ve been thinking about that really hard lately,” Wood said, adding that she would use her platform to fight bullying and show “kids across the world that you can achieve your goals no matter your socio-economic status.”
