By Movieguide® Contributor
Whitney Bates and husband Zach are expecting Baby No. 5!
The BRINGING UP BATES couple announced they had another child on the way in February with a sweet Instagram post.
“We’re so excited to share that baby #5 will be here in August 2023!” Whitney wrote. “It’s been the sweetest time celebrating with the kids and watching how excited they are to have another brother or sister.”
The couple are parents to Bradley, 8, Kaci Lynn, 6, Khloé Eileen, 3, and Jadon Carl, 20 months.
Bates added that the whole family has been “guessing the gender,” but another Instagram post has put the debate to rest.
“ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!” Whitney wrote under a series of pictures of her family’s gender reveal. “Sitting under my daddy’s favorite tree and doing this gender reveal with my little family was such an emotionally special moment that I can’t put into words.”
“Khloe wants us to name her Whitney ‘like mommy,’” she continued. “Kaci can’t stop talking about shopping for baby girl stuff. Jadon has no clue what’s going on but he’s dancing. Bradley was voting for a brother, but still says he can’t wait to hold his baby sis! We have a house full of love right now and we are taking in every moment!”
“There’s something about family and the love of a child that you can’t explain but it fills your heart like nothing else,” she added.
Movieguide® previously reported on Whitney and Zach:
BRINGING UP THE BATES’ Zach and Whitney recently requested prayer after doctors rushed their newborn son, Jadon, to the NICU at East TN Children’s Hospital.
“Shortly after birth, his O2 levels dropped and he was transferred to NICU at East TN Children’s Hospital. As of right now, he is stable and responding to treatment,” Whitney said on Instagram, encouraging her followers to pray.
Despite the scary circumstances, Whitney and Zach remained thankful to God.
“We are so grateful to God for taking care of our little boy and thankful for the doctors and nurses working hard to get baby J healthy and ready to meet his big brother and sisters. Life doesn’t always go as planned, but we’re thankful we can trust in the Lord with confidence that His plan is always perfect,” Whitney said.
