Working on This GAF Set Drew Actress Closer to God

Julia Reilly never imagined just how rewarding her time would be on the COUNTRY RESCUE set.
“I will say it was such a cool experience and like the biggest God thing ever to work on a show where faith is such an important aspect of my character,” Reilly told Great American Pure Flix, “because I’m going to work, and I’m constantly reminded to be present in my faith, because that’s my job, but that’s also our job as followers of Christ in life.”
The series follows Reilly’s character Dani “and the other EMTs in training [who] are courageous, everyday heroes. But with only one opening for three trainees, Dani’s faith in herself is tested each and every call. Dani believes her calling is to save lives. Now, she has to prove it.”
“And so if anything, I can honestly say that playing Dani and working on this show has helped me to grow in my own faith and in my relationship with the Lord in my own life,” the actress continued. “And so, I’m excited to continue that journey, because you know that’s an ongoing, evolving relationship that I am on, and that Dani’s also on, and I think, you know, we’re hand-in-hand on that, and it’s really, really so special to get to do that.”

In October, the show was renewed for Season 2 which will premiere sometime this January.
“Season one was really about getting to know the characters and the dynamics among them,” lead actor Brett Varvel, who plays Andy, told The Christian Post. “In season two, we dive much deeper into their personal struggles, dreams, and what they stand for. Each character will have to make choices between what’s easy and what’s right, which are not always the same.”
“It’s got everything that you would want to see again in season two: the rescue calls, some danger, excitement, comedy, love, romance, family and all kinds of different great things like that,” he added.
