More Detail:
“Sources and Methods” puts Ryan’s moral code to the test. Near the end, Greer tells Ryan there’s no version of their job where there’s no moral compromise. Ryan says he refuses to believe that. Greer responds that he once believed the same thing. Can Jack Ryan be successful in the CIA without giving up some moral beliefs? At a time when TV characters often show no moral conviction, it’s refreshing to see a character at least grapple with them. This JACK RYAN episode is still edgy, however, with “f” words, brief nudity and some strong violence. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution.
