Republican Presidential Candidate Cursed By Witches After Joining TikTok

To boost his campaign reach, Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy joined TikTok and immediately began being cursed by witches on the platform.
“Let me be the first to welcome you to WitchTok,” wrote an anonymous witch in a video duetting Ramaswamy’s first post on the platform. In the video, the witch conducts a spell, cursing him with a variety of ingredients, including eye of newt, poison hemlock and a tooth.
The video has been viewed over 300,000 times, with many other witches responding that they would conduct spells and hexes of their own on Ramaswamy.
This disturbing response to the presidential candidate joining the social media platform highlights the troubling growth of witchcraft and occultism throughout society.
With tens of billions of videos under the hashtag #witchtok, TikTok has become the go-to space for the occult to spread and draw people in.
This is extremely disturbing, as most TikTok users are younger kids and teens. They are especially susceptible to joining the occult because they don’t understand what they are getting into.
Movieguide® previously reported on Jenny Weaver, a former witch-turned-Christian evangelist:
“I remember when I started practicing witchcraft, I was very curious about it,” Weaver explained. “I saw it as a means to have power, in a powerless world. I remember getting books about spells and going into the new age store and purchasing bundles of sage, crystals, and all of the things you would do to cast spells. But I’ll tell you, it took a turn for the worse.”
She continued, “I had such a fear that gripped my life. It crippled me. The next thing that I knew, I was seeing things, hearing things, and I was being tortured by demonic spirits that had come in through the use of witchcraft. It was a very scary time. I didn’t even want to close my eyes to wash my face. I was that terrified. If you think that it is innocent I am telling you it will take you down a road you do not want to go down. And I had to ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive me.”
The occult is especially dangerous because it often seems innocent.
For example, the hashtag #starseeds became popular earlier this year. The videos claimed that we all carry divine light because we are formed from stardust. The trend enticed people into the occult by promising them ascension to something greater than themselves—a counterfeit sanctification reached without the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
WitchTok’s response to Ramaswamy joining the platform illustrates why raising media-wise children is important.
For many, social media leads people away from God, and the widespread celebration of occultism on various platforms has only made this more true.
The Bible is clear that any participation in occultism or divination is sinful and leads to emptiness. Rather, we are called to flee from this darkness and thrive in the light we have found in Jesus Christ.

Witches are now the main character. It’s not just the supporting role. Years ago, we had an understanding that some of these witches and then people in cartoons that were evil, they were evil. We understood that we were told it was evil, and now it’s glamorized.”
