On Netflix May 24: THE WILD ROBOT is an incredibly heartfelt, entertaining, humorous animated story. An intelligent robot nicknamed Roz is stranded on an isolated, uninhabited island. To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the animals. She also must take care of an orphaned baby goose, whom she calls Brightbill, so he can join the migration.

On Prime Video May 7: n HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA: TRANSFORMANIA, an animated movie on Amazon Prime, Count Drac is finally retiring and giving his beloved hotel to his daughter, Mavis. Her human husband, Johnny, is excited to hear this. However, when Drac changes the rules, saying he must be a monster to take over, Johnny finds a potion to make him one. The potion also changes Drac into a regular human. The two must travel together to find more of the potion to reverse everything. Will they be able to get along and work together as family to get back to where they started?

On Disney+ May 1: In SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE, Miles Morales encounters a new supervillain calling himself “The Spot.” The Spot is able to throw a large black spot onto a bank vault and steal money or escape through one of the spots he casts. When The Spot amasses enough power to threaten the multiverse, Miles teams up with a society of Spider-Men or Spider-People to stop The Spot. Eventually, however, Miles faces a moral dilemma that affects the people he loves the most.

On Hulu May 1: KUNG FU PANDA 2 opens with Po the chubby panda now living his dream as the Dragon Warrior. Po protects the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, the Furious Five. Po's awesome new life is threatened, however, by the emergence of Lord Shen, who’s been gathering metal in all the villages to make a bunch of cannons and take over China. It’s up to Po and the Furious Five to journey across China to face Lord Shen and vanquish him. How can Po and his friends stop a weapon that can stop kung fu? Po must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins. Only then will he be able to unlock the strength he needs to defeat Lord Shen and his evil plans.

On Peacock May 1: DESPICABLE ME 3 is a high octane, high energy mix of several storylines. Gru and his wife, Lucy, are fired from the Anti-Villain League when they fail to stop Balthazar Bratt from stealing the world’s largest diamond. Meanwhile, all but two of the Minions have left Gru because they’re tired of being good guys. Then, Gru meets his long-lost twin brother, Dru, who wants to be a criminal like Gru was. So, Gru plans a heist to steal back the diamond from Balthazar Bratt and get back his old job.

On Paramount+ May 1: THE SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS MOVIE is based on the popular cartoon series on Cable TV’s Nickelodeon channel. Spongebob Squarepants is a hyperactive yellow sponge, living under the sea at Bikini Bottom. Plankton, a disgruntled, diminutive business rival of Spongebob’s boss, Mr. Krabs, steals the crown of King Neptune, selling it to someone in Shell City, and frames Mr. Krabs for the crime. Spongebob and his loyal friend, the pink starfish named Patrick, must travel to Shell City to retrieve the crown and save Mr. Krabs and the whole town. Plankton hires a hitman to make sure they never get there.

On Max May 1: Alex the lion and his zoo friends return in MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED. Alex wants to get home to the New York Zoo, but the crazy penguins have flown to Monte Carlo to gamble. While trying to meet the penguins in Monte Carlo, they crash the casino and get into more trouble. A zealous French, female, animal control officer starts chasing them. The gang flees and hides out in a struggling circus. With the money the penguins won at Monte Carlo, they buy the circus. Alex becomes the leader, but running a circus is more difficult than he thinks.
