Christian singer Lauren Daigle reflect on all the amazing things that happened in 2025 and looked forward to what 2026 has in store.

“What a year it has been! So many things to reflect upon,” she began a recent Instagram post that included a set of photos from 2025. “Typically, when one year closes and the new year begins, l often feel unprepared, out of sync, and living in the previous year for at minimum the entire month of January as if I somehow was left out of the memo that a new year was on the brink.”

Daigle explained that this new year “was very different.”

“My body clock was actually ready for the momentous calendar shift as 2026 came flying in!” she said. “What caused such a timely accord within? Without vision, we perish — I believe dreaming about what’s in store for 2026 became all the more clear toward the end of 2025.”

Proverbs 29:18 explains the importance of having a vision for our lives: “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Daigle continued, “There is something glorious about anticipation, about waiting with a knowing, about standing on the edge of a harvest getting your tools ready to reap. I look back on the highlights of 2025 with utter zeal knowing these highlights mustered a flame within me to create and facilitate intention for 2026. Let the fun begin!!!!”

People in the comment section celebrated Daigle’s 2025 wins with her. “What a year it was! This caption is so good. I pray you have an incredible year!” one person said. Another person added, “Let’s go!!! 2026 is going to be absolutely amazing.”

Daigle’s post played her song “Let it Be a Hallelujah” in the background, which she released last year.

“Years ago, in the writing cycle between ‘How Can It Be’ and ‘Look Up Child’, I remember this gem ‘Let It Be a Hallelujah’ landing in the land of Dropbox and never making its way to my record,” she wrote about it earlier in 2025. “Fast forward years and years later, I truly believe that God had an incredible design filled with intention behind why this song wasn’t brought forth into the world in the season in which we wrote it.”

She explained that the song “compels me to believe that from any place high or low, triumphant or troublesome, praise can live on our lips and in our spirit. I think Paul taught us the extravagant resilience of being content in all things. This song is the reminder of this truth.”

In Philippians 4:11, Paul says, “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”

As we reflect on the year past and this New Year, we can take Daigle’s advice and find vision for the new season, while at the same time being content where God’s placed us right now.
