Family comedian Kenn Kington was recently floored by his wife’s interaction with a neighbor.
“We’ve got a former neighbor…She’s just having a horrific time with one of her sons who’s just gone down a really bad path,” Kington recalled on his podcast, “Every Day’s a Bonus!” “So she [his wife Heather] and another friend got with her for dinner and I am so blown away because Heather wants her to have Christ. She wants her to have God so that she’s got comfort and healing and wisdom.”
“…And so she’s listening and has a great relationship with her, and I thought this was an incredible response because after they’ve spent probably over an hour hearing about the details of all this, and her friend has always kind of made fun of faith…But Heather said, ‘I know you don’t want to hear this, but I’m gonna pray for you.’”

“And the other friend who maybe doesn’t have the same background as Heather, but is kind of ‘Yeah, I believe in God,’ she’s like, ‘Well, I’ll pray, too.’ And the girl who was the agnostic…she goes, ‘You know what, you [Heather] can pray for me because I know God knows you,” Kington recalled.
That became that woman’s first step toward Christ, and Kington was just in awe of the fact that the woman, who was an agnostic, recognized Christ in his wife.
Kington is a notable family comedian who’s appeared in DRY BAR COMEDY, 2N COMEDY and his own special, KENN KINGTON: I DON’T UNDERSTAND.
He loves sharing Christ just as much as he loves making people laugh. He regularly shares hope and encouragement on his podcast.
In a December episode he said, “I don’t know where you are listening to this…but I want you to take the number one biggest concern in your world right now and be totally honest with God about it…and get to that point where you’re like, ‘God…this is what I really do want; this is what I desire but I trust you…and man experiences his presence, his peace, and his strength in the middle of it.”
Kington currently tours around the US to host comedy shows, primarily at churches. One of his next shows, on Jan. 22, is called “Give the Gift of Laughter” and will be held at a theater in Rome, Georgia.
Kington’s story is a great reminder to always show people Christ’s love. We never know when He’ll open a door to share the gospel.
