Natasha Bure Perry gushed about making TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY with mom Candace Cameron Bure on the Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala red carpet.

“It was so fun. It’s really such a gift to work with people that you love and even more special to do it with your parents,” Perry told Movieguide®. “So it was a very, very incredible experience that I’m super grateful for.”

“We — the whole time we were filming, we lived in an apartment together, and we drove to set every day, and it was amazing,” she gushed. “So it just felt, you know, like the best bond ever.”

She felt like her faith grew while working on the movie.

“Every day I feel like I’m tested and pushed just with the culture of today and just really trying to stand firm in my faith,” Perry said. “So, you know, throughout filming…every single day I am challenged to stand firm in who I am and my relationship with Christ.”

Both Perry and Bure were nominated for the Grace Prize® for Most Inspiring Performance for Streaming for their roles in TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY.

The Great American Family movie is about a woman, Ally, played by Bure, who inherits a letter-press shop her grandmother, Joy, played by Perry, opened in the ’40s. When Ally prepares to sell the shop, she meets a man who wants to preserve her grandmother’s unique legacy. But a divine intervention forces them both to look at the shop, and themselves, in a new light.

In a world of technology, TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY harkens back to a simpler time and the core values passed to us by our parents and grandparents. It reminds us that the best gifts we receive, are the ones we freely give away,” said Bure.

The mother-daughter duo previously hosted the Movieguide® Awards Gala.

Other nominees in the Most Inspiring Performance for Streaming category are Erin Krakow for WHEN CALLS THE HEART Episode 12.2, Shae Robins for A CHRISTMAS PRAYER, DANICA MCKELLAR for HAVE WE MET THIS CHRISTMAS and SERAYAH for RUTH & BOAZ.

Robins shared photos from the event on her socials, captioned “One week ago today at the Movieguide Awards ✨. Honored to be nominated for the Grace Award for Streaming Actress for A Christmas Prayer, and for the film to also be nominated for the Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring Movie.”

Candace showed off her dress for the awards on social media. She also let her followers help pick out what she wore — a pale pink tinted glitzy mermaid style dress.

“In my mermaid era for the @movieguide awards ✨💫” she captioned photos.
