Country singer Anne Wilson took a moment at one of her concerts recently to celebrate a sweet young fan who beat cancer.
“Let me tell y’all something that is so special about this sweet little girl,” Wilson began to say in the video posted to Instagram as a young girl stands on stage beside her.
“I met a hero a couple years ago and brought her up on stage, and at the time she was battling cancer. She was going through such a hard time in her life,” the singer recalled as the video showed clips from the first time she met Greenleigh. “And we brought her on stage, and tonight I was in the meet-and-greet, and she comes through the line, and it immediately just hit me. I was about to cry my eyes out, but I saw her, and I got to talk to her and her mom and found out that she has been healed of cancer. She is completely free.”
Wilson continued, “And this little girl got to ring the bell, and she is healed, praise God for that. She’s here with us tonight. We are so excited that she’s here. Y’all give it up one more time for Greenleigh and all that God has done in her life.”

People in the comment section celebrated the special moment.
“Aww praise Jesus!! What a God story!” one person said. Another fan added, “Oh my goodness! This is so special!!! My family was at that concert three years ago. My momma had just battled cancer herself. I remember my momma going over to Greenleigh and her momma to talk. We have been praying for her. God is soo good!!!”
This special moment happened in Nashville during the Winter Jam tour.
In a separate post about the event, Wilson said, “Nashville, such a fun show this weekend with y’all!! Getting to lift up the name of Jesus right here at home during @winterjamtour was so special. Thanks for coming out and singing with us!”
Although she makes music and performs, caring about people is at the heart of what Wilson does. Last month she headlined for the “Kids Helping Kids” benefit concert.
Organizer of the event Izzie Ratliffe said, “Kids Helping Kids was founded on the belief that young people can lead meaningful change in their communities. This concert is a reflection of students using their voices and talents to stand up for kids and families affected by human trafficking right here in Santa Barbara.”
Wilson reminds us that no matter your status in life, you’re never too “big” to love and help others.
