Bad News for LORD OF THE RINGS Fans

Bad news for “Lord of the Rings” fans. Originally, the third and final installment in Peter Jackson’s “Hobbit” trilogy was set for a summer release of July 18, 2014. However MGM and New Line recently announced the release would be pushed back to Dec.17, 2014. Although no explanation was given for the move, some speculate the release of Fox’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past during the same time would have given the film more competition. “The Hobbit” recently passed the billion-dollar mark thanks to a successful opening in China. The second film, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is still expected to arrive Dec. 13, 2013.
