Caitlin Clark fans will miss seeing the Indiana Fever star for at least two weeks as she recovers from a quad injury.
The team reported on May 26 that “Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has suffered a left quadriceps strain and will be out a minimum of two weeks. Further updates will be provided, as available, following re-evaluation.”
The Fever are 2-2, and Clark picked up exactly where she left off last season. She has averaged “19 points, 9.3 assists, and 6 rebounds in the first four games of the 2025 season,” according to Fox News Digital.
Because of the injury, the athlete will miss games against the Washington Mystics, the Connecticut Sun and the Chicago Sky. If all goes well, Clark will return on June 10 to play against the Atlanta Dream and keep building on her already record-breaking season.
In three of the four games this season, Clark has recorded a double-double. In the Fever’s first game against the Chicago Sky, she recorded a triple-double and helped the team secure their first win.
With just 42 WNBA career games, Clark now leads the league with the most 25-point and 10-assist games. She secured that record in the Fever’s loss against the Atlanta Dream, putting up 27 points and 11 assists.

Sports Illustrated explained that with this record, Clark “passed New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu, who has five games with 25 points and 10 assists in the midst of her sixth WNBA season. So while the record could flip-flop between the two throughout the year, it’s an impressive feat nonetheless.”

Ionescu’s last recorded game with over 25 points and 10 assists was last season against the Atlanta Dream. Ionescu has also played over 144 games in her WNBA career. Clark broke the record in just 42 games.
The Fever’s last game was against a tough New York Liberty. Clark and her teammate, Aliyah Boston, would both record double-doubles.
According to the Indiana Fever post-game recap, “Caitlin Clark recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists, her second of the season and 17th of her career,” and “Aliyah Boston recorded a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds, her second of the year and 27th of her career.”
There is no exact play where Clark suffered her injury, but she noticed after the game that something didn’t feel right. Hopefully her two weeks of recovery will get her back on the court early next month.
