Danica McKellar to Share ‘Bible Bits’ in New Show

By Movieguide® Contributor

Great American Family has revealed more details about what fans can expect from their upcoming app, Great American Community, including a new show with Danica McKellar.

In an Instagram post giving more details about the actress’ new show, BITS OF JOY WITH DANICA MCKELLAR, GAC revealed that McKellar will be sharing positive stories with the viewers.

Some of the segments on her show include “Bible Bits,” “Healthy Bits,” and “Math Bits” — McKellar holds a Bachelor’s degree and PhD in mathematics.

Fans of McKellar are excited to see how she implements her faith in the “Bible Bits” portion of her show. The actress is very open about her faith, and has shared her journey online with her followers. Movieguide® previously reported:

Former THE WONDER YEARS actress Danica McKellar recently gave a shout-out to her sister in Christ and fellow actress Candace Cameron Bure.

In a recent Instagram story, McKellar thanked Bure for her “One Step Closer Bible,” which quickly sold out on Amazon at the time of its release on Feb. 19, 2021.

“Shout out to my wonderful friend Candice Cameron Bure,” the DOMINO MASTERS host said. “She sent me her ‘One Step Closer Bible,’ and it’s just beautiful. I got the gold one. It’s so awesome.”

McKellar, known for her roles in Hallmark Christmas movies, recently joined the up-and-coming family-friendly network GAC Family for an upcoming slate of movies.

McKellar confessed that she did not grow up reading the Bible but said that she is excited to explore the study of God’s word with the help of Bure’s notes.

“I will tell you, I have not had much of a Bible education in my life, a little bit here and there, but it’s not part of how I was raised,” she said. “I’m looking forward to learning more about it because Candice is a really awesome person and she’s got her own notes and things in here to kind of guide you through. Since I don’t know a lot about it, I’m looking forward to using it in that way. So thank you, Candice.”

Candace reposted the video to her Instagram story.

In a previous post, Bure thanked McKellar for joining her at Shepherd Church for a play about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“Look who joined me for church this morning! So glad you came @danicamckellar to watch The Passion Play at @shepherdchurch,” Bure wrote. “It’s a musical about the life of Jesus Christ through his death and resurrection, which should be on Broadway because it’s that good! We are observing Palm Sunday, leading up to Easter!”

“Thank you @candacecbure for inviting me to your church’s incredible Passion Play this morning! It was beautiful and life-affirming!” McKellar responded.
