You Won’t Believe Who’s Starring in GAF’s ‘Christmas in July’

Great American Family has just unveiled its star-studded lineup for its upcoming “Christmas in July” event.

“Great American Family, an industry leader in the production of quality original holiday content, announced an early launch to the network’s highly-popular, holiday program event, ‘Great American Christmas in July,’ Friday, June 28 (8 p.m. ET),” the network announced.

Some of the movies fans can look forward to seeing include Candace Cameron Bure’s MY CHRISTMAS HERO, Trevor Donovan’s ‘TWAS THE TEXT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, Danica McKellar’s CHRISTMAS AT THE DRIVE-IN and Lori Loughlin’s Teddy Bear Award® winner A CHRISTMAS BLESSING.

Great American Family has been enjoying some major success over the last few years.

Next TV reported that, in 2023, total-viewer ratings for the network “rose 76%, one of the biggest reported jumps for any network.”

“In the first quarter, revenue rose 21% from Q1 2023, per the network, indicating demand for the family-friendly formula that the former Hallmark Channel head has brought to his new business,” they continued.

CEO Bill Abbott has spoken about GAF’s strategy as a network, saying, “The family-friendly piece of it is essential to our success.”

“We want to attract as many people who are underserved, and feel like faith and family is important to them,” he explained. “It’s about telling great stories that inspire, and that people can watch together with their families and will watch together as part of their faith communities or join a book club or do anything that really is considered to be in that faith-and-family genre.”

Family-friendly network Great American Family (GAF) maintained its number one spot as the fastest-growing network for the last nine months.

GAF was the fastest-growing network in 2022, and if its streak continues, it is on track to take that title again in 2023.

“Great American Family is TV’s fastest-growing network for the ninth consecutive month after closing out July up 143% in Total Day Household ratings and leading all networks in year-over-year viewership increases,” the network announced.

“According to Nielsen Media Research, Great American Family also retained its position as TV’s fastest-growing network in 2023 to-date with the largest gains in Total Day Households (+165%) and Total Viewers (+161%); and Primetime Households (+141%) and Total Viewers (+139%),” the network added.

Christian Headlines reported, “In July, Great American Family also ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (up 139 percent) compared to July 2022, according to the data.”

“Great American Christmas in July” will begin Friday, June 28 at 8 p.m. ET.
