HACKSAW RIDGE Actor Proclaims ‘Preach the Good News’

In a new Instagram video, HACKSAW RIDGE actor Nathaniel Buzolic shared a favorite Bible verse and some words of wisdom about preaching the Gospel in our daily lives.
Buzolic started the video by quoting Philippians 2:12-16:
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
“Those who walk the true Christian journey are not walking a wide, downhill road,” the actor shared. “But rather a narrow path…a mountain that no woman or man could keep climbing without God’s spirit dwelling within them.”
Buzolic mentioned that he may look “foolish” to nonbelievers but stressed that there are “no days off” from faith.
“We have been gifted the gospel through grace,” he said. “And thus, that must be proclaimed. Jesus is not looking for people who are holding on or holding back — He is looking for people who are willing to be helpers in the glory of what God is doing.”
He continued, “As a Christian in this age, we have a target on our backs and even greater responsibility in our hands to preach the gospel. We have been called to be a light to a wicked world, which means there is no such thing as an undercover Christian.”
Buzolic finished his video by encouraging viewers to “Preach Jesus. Preach the good news.”

For HACKSAW RIDGE actor, Nathaniel Buzolic, one of the ways he lives out his Christian faith is by sharing God’s truth with his 2.8 million Instagram followers.
In a recent Instagram post, Buzolic explained the seriousness of sin and encouraged people to turn to the only healer, Jesus Christ.
“Have you ever read the Gospel of Mark & started to wonder why Jesus kept instructing people whom He healed not to share who Healed them with anyone?” Buzolic wrote beneath a picture of the Sea of Galilee. “We first see this in CHP 1 of marks gospel – after The leper is healed jesus sternly warns him with these words’ see that you say nothing to anyone, but go show yourself to the priest, then for your cleansing, offer what Moses commanded as a testimony.’

Buzolic adds that more important than any physical miracle of Jesus’ earthly ministry was Christ’s work on the cross and the saving of humans from their sins.
“Jesus didn’t want people to proclaim Him as the healer simply because this wasn’t Jesus’ primary purpose for His visitation among men. In fact if you read the verses before This exchange with the leper we get a clear understanding of exactly why Jesus’ came & what He felt tasked to do,” he wrote.
“Jesus says this to his disciples – ‘let’s go somewhere else, to the neighboring towns, so that I MAY PROCLAIM THE MESSAGE THERE ALSO, (here it is) THIS IS WHY I CAME FOR,’” he added. “The more famous Jesus became for healing the less people wanted to hear about the actual Good news of the kingdom of God that Jesus had came to proclaim.”
Buzolic also points to another example found in scripture; the feeding of the 5,000.
“We get a clearer look at this when Jesus speaks to the crowds who have followed him after He fed 4,000 men in johns gospel, the people missed the point only following Him for yet another feeding rather then receiving God’s word to bring them to eternal life,” Buzolic notes.
“Now don’t get me wrong, God can’t help but Heal, which is why Jesus continued to heal as the crowds continued to bring the sick, lame & ill,” he continued. “But what is far more important than a physical healing was a renewal of the mind. To be transformed on the inside by the word of God so that His people would trust him despite our current circumstances trials or tribulations.”
Buzolic concluded his post by encouraging people to believe in the Jesus of the Gospel and not a counterfeit.
“This world has many illnesses, but the greatest of these is a sickness of the heart to be hardened towards the one true God,” he explained. “Jesus said this, ‘If you abide in MY WORDS, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth and THE TRUTH will set you FREE.’ If we don’t correctly believe in the right identity of Jesus who is God we will die in our sins. Jesus came into the world to save sinners, we have set our hope on him.”
