HGTV Brings Back ZILLOW GONE WILD for Season 2
By Movieguide® Contributor
After a surprise success with its first season, HGTV renewed ZILLOW GONE WILD for a second run, taking a look at the wackiest homes in the country.
The show was HGTV’s biggest hit among shows in its first season, drawing an average of 12.5 million viewers across its first season and ranked as a top 3 non-news/sports cable program during its time slot on HGTV. The show is inspired by an Instagram account of the same name that now boasts over 2 million followers.
“We have always loved the Zillow Gone Wild Instagram account and were thrilled to harness what fans love and super serve them both on social and television,” said Betsy Ayala, Interim Head of Content at HGTV. “These outrageous homes delivered an instant hit on screen, and Jack [McBrayer] is back to take us inside even more one-of-a-kind properties.”

For his part, McBrayer is thrilled to return for ten more episodes, as he has loved exploring these wild homes.
“What was especially fun for me was that by getting those real-life tours, I’m able to meet the homeowners, meet the sellers, and hear the stories behind their choices for their design, architecture, themes — whatever it was,” he told PEOPLE.
“I just love the passion behind these homeowners. Why did you choose this old general store or diner to build your home?” McBrayer continued. “Guess what—it works. This couple had bought an old church. This couple in Nebraska bought an old schoolhouse. Their primary bedroom is the first-grade classroom. I’m like, this is wackadoo. This is insane.”
Season 2 of ZILLOW GONE WILD will premiere on HGTV in 2025 and will be added to stream on Max and Discovery+ where the first season is already available.
