Former child star Frankie Muniz recently shared the unexpected way a radio station helped him discover God.
“It’s something that’s new in my life,” Muniz recently said of his faith, via Relevant Magazine. “I found it on accident. I was driving across the country and everything that could possibly go wrong was going wrong. I was almost in tears, and the only station that would play was K-LOVE.”
Muniz recalled that two songs — Kari Jobe’s “Cover the Earth” and Big Daddy Weave’s “Overwhelmed” — played back-to-back, creating the “perfect moment.”
“I haven’t turned off that radio station since,” he continued. “I started going to church every Sunday and really being involved in my faith. It’s definitely become a big part of my life because of that trip.”

Muniz added, “If that little bit of listening to the music could have that effect on me and bring me down a different path to make my life better. I hope other people find that, too.”
The MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE star publicly declared his faith in September, posting on X, “Happy Sunday! I am proud to say I live for Jesus Christ. Who’s with me?”
Muniz, once one of Hollywood’s most successful child stars, has been open about his decision to walk away from the entertainment industry in 2006, preferring to focus on his family and new career as a racecar driver.
“I did get to experience a really amazing life in that sense,” he told Us Weekly of the perks of fame. “But all that comes at a super high price. Money does not buy happiness. Look at Hollywood — there’s a lot of miserable people, right?”
Muniz is making his return to acting, though, reprising his lead role as Malcolm in the upcoming Disney+ MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE revival series.
“I’m not exaggerating when I say filming this reboot, like I loved it so much, way more than I ever thought I could have,” he said during a recent podcast appearance. “I think people will be surprised, in a sense, where everybody is and the story. But it’s only four episodes… It’s hard to fit in 20 years of stuff into four 30-minute episodes, right? But I think people are going to be very happy with what they came up with.”
From returning to acting after so many years, to his newfound faith, Muniz has had a lot of positive changes happen in his life recently!
