Actor Jesse Hutch couldn’t be more proud of his daughter who appeared alongside him in his latest GAF movie.

On an episode of “Take That Personally” with Morgan Huelsman, the Great American Family star revealed that his daughter Charlize acted with him in A LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS.

“That was phenomenal, I felt very proud,” he said of seeing his daughter take the role. “I was happy, I almost cried on set, it was really touching. She did a fantastic job…she kind of caught on really fast. She’s technically driven. She understood direction that was given to her.”

Charlize played Daisy in the film, the daughter of John (Hutch) and Meg (Jen Lilley).

“In the movie, Jen Lilley plays the oldest March sister Meg, whose husband John (Jesse Hutch) is stationed overseas and unsure if he’ll make it home to spend Christmas with his wife and their daughter Daisy,” CinemaBlend said.

As far as his children and acting go, Hutch said he will never force them into his field.

“I’ve never forced them. I’ve always brought them. I asked her if she wanted to audition, and she was like ‘Yeah,’ and she just took it from there. It’s been kind of a natural progression, I think.”

Charlize’s costar Lilley gushed over the young actress’ natural talent.

“Her name is Charlize, and that was her acting debut. And she was such a rock star,” Lilley told Sean O’Connell. “She was so funny on set. Because Jesse also directs and produces, and Charlize…she’s going to be a director. Like, she almost kicked Brandon, our director, out of his chair. Jesse and I were like, ‘Charlize, maybe just rein it back a little bit, babe.’ Like, ‘We know. Big girl on set! But maybe learn the politics. Don’t tell the director what to do!’ She was great.”

Hutch has previously shared how his faith has deepened his relationship with his wife and children. “I’ve always found that the more honest you are with who you are and what you believe, it’s just better for everybody,” he said. “There’s no space and no place for being fake. And if there is, it’s usually from an insecurity, to be honest, and I’ve had those. And so a lot of what I’ve had to do is just lean further into my faith. And as I do that, I always find more love for my marriage, more love for my children.”
