John Cena to Return to the WWE Ring
By Movieguide® Contributor
John Cena will return to the WWE at the Crown Jewel premium live event on Nov. 4.
The pro wrestler is set to step into the ring with Solo Sikoa. This will be Cena’s first one-on-one event since April’s WRESTLEMANIA 39.
“Cena is energized by the idea of working with younger talent,” a WWE source revealed. “[He] has been blown away by the response from the WWE Universe [since his most recent return].”
Cena reflected on his time with WWE in a recent tweet, writing, “It’s you. It’s me. It’s us. Thank you to the incredible crowd at #Smackdown and @WWE Universe for allowing me to continue to spend time with you. Good & bad, ups & downs I am grateful for every second we spend together.”

When Cena isn’t in the ring, he’s hard at work on his acting career and partnering with Make-A-Wish.
The former pro wrestler has set a Guinness World Record for granting the most wishes through Make-A-Wish.
“I just drop everything,” Cena said. “If I can offer a fantastic experience, I’ll be first in line to do my part. I want them to have an experience that will stay with them forever. I don’t ever want the children or their families to be treated in a way where they feel as if they’re up against anything at all.”
Movieguide® previously reported on this milestone:
John Cena can add a new title to his list of accolades: the WWE star and actor was just named the Guinness World Record holder for the most wishes granted through the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Cena made wishes come true for 650 children. He started working with the foundation in 2002, and has been the leading wish-granter for years. Make-A-Wish stated that no other person has granted more than 200 wishes in their 42 year-history.
Make-A-Wish also shared that Cena is the most requested celebrity.
“If you ever need me for this ever, I don’t care what I’m doing, I will drop what I’m doing and be involved because I think that’s the coolest thing,” Cena said of his long partnership with Make-A-Wish. “I just drop everything.”
