Meta Bans Posts About Faith-Based Documentary THE DOMINO REVIVAL
By Movieguide® Contributor
THE DOMINO REVIVAL, a faith-based documentary from pastor Mike Signorelli, was released on October 24, but big tech platforms prevented him and others from promoting the movie.
“Meta, what are you doing?!” a frustrated Signorelli said in a Facebook post. “I can’t even post on my own Facebook a picture of the movie poster from this film. Stephanie of Facebook says ‘It removed my DOMINO REVIVAL post…’”
The documentary highlights a revival that spread through online and in-person events, following several pastors and their ministries.
Part of Movieguide®’s review reads:
THE DOMINO REVIVAL is a faith-based documentary. The movie centers on its narrator, Mike Signorelli, a New York City pastor who began having outdoor church services during the COVID lockdowns. Mike started connecting with other pastors online, and revival broke out. Each leader’s efforts gained momentum, like an enormous spiritual game of dominoes.
“It shows thousands of people getting baptized in ocean services, and countless more speaking in tongues and expressing themselves in other fascinating ways. The most compelling footage shows people actively being delivered from demonic affliction and suicidal desperation to find new life in Christ. THE DOMINO REVIVAL is crisply edited to keep viewers thoroughly engaged and moved. It discusses some mature themes like depression, suicide, demonic affliction, and society’s moral decline. However, they’re all part of the movie’s powerful Christian, moral uplift.”
Unsurprisingly, Meta took action against the movie. Signorelli explained what happened.
Not only was he unable to post the movie poster, but other Facebook users experienced the same issue. Facebook states that posts about the movie are “against community standards.”
“These are normal people!” Signorelli continued in the video. “These are not influencers. These are moms. These are dads. These are blue-collar working people. Meta, we are scaring you because we’re taking the movie industry by storm. We did it with SOUND OF FREEDOM. We’re doing it with THE DOMINO REVIVAL. You cannot stop the people.”
Signorelli ended the video with a message for Meta.
“You can suppress our posts. You can block and ban our posts, but we are united by the Holy Spirit, and you can’t suppress the Holy Spirit. Rome tried to block us, and we rose out of the ashes of Rome. You tried to delete us in communist China. Look how that’s working out for you,” he concluded.
Movieguide® previously reported on Meta’s ban of Libs of TikTok on Threads:
Meta’s Twitter rival Threads has shown its true colors as it censors a conservative account’s post.
Threads deleted a post from Chaya Raichik’s Libs of TikTok account after she stated “non-binary isn’t real.”
“Stating facts is ‘hate speech’ on Threads,” Raichik said in a Twitter post showing her censorship…
“It’s clear that the biased censorship from big tech is still thriving everywhere except Elon’s Twitter,” Raichik told the Daily Caller. “I think I’ll stick with Twitter.”
