NCIS Veterans Reunite for First Time in 10 Years

Michael Weatherly, Cote de Pablo and Sean Murray reunited on a recent episode of an NCIS rewatch podcast where they discussed their upcoming projects with the franchise.

“We haven’t been in the same room together in 10 years,” Pablo said, per sportskeeda.com. “10 years. The three of us together, sitting down and actually talking. 10 years.”

“I didn’t do the math or anything, but I know when I see you guys that I feel really good,” Murray added.

While this was the first time the trio had reunited in a decade, the NCIS veterans had previously seen each other individually through special appearances on the show. Murray remains a regular character, serving a veteran role on the team. He was reunited with de Pablo in Season 17 to tie up loose ends with an old foe. Weatherly, meanwhile, returned last season during a tribute episode to the late David McCallum who passed away last September.

Weatherly and de Pablo, meanwhile, are set to reunite onscreen in an upcoming spinoff series set to release around the end of the year. The show will follow the pair’s characters as they travel through Europe to escape a looming international threat. While the show will star their famous characters, it will also show a new side to them and explore how they have changed over the past ten years.

“We know that we have a past. We know that we have worked together. We know that we are friends, we know that we have gone through really good times, really challenging times in the show, as friends, in life, and now we’re going to be working together and hopefully we’re going to be drawing from all that,” de Pablo previously said. “And we have to understand these characters, much like Michael and Cote, have evolved.”

“I think the dynamic that emerges is going to be a really brand new one,” Weatherly added. “And I have no idea what that’s going to feel like. I can’t wait…I’m looking forward to that, the real energy and exhilaration of acting with one of the best actors I’ve ever worked with, Cote de Pablo.

While there is nothing yet to be confirmed, Murray teased the possibility of his appearance in that show as well.

“It’s very possible, I’ll say that,” Murray told TV Insider in March. “Especially inside of our franchise, as I’m sure you could guess. And yeah, we like to have fun with some of that stuff, and it’s all in the family, so we’ll see what happens.”
