Christian Actress Reminds Us to ‘Anticipate God’s Miracles’ Everyday

Priscilla Shirer is reminding us to “anticipate [and] expect” God’s presence in our lives.
“Anticipate God’s miracles,” she said during an episode of TBN’s PRAISE. “Expect that you can hear His voice — that your marriage is not beyond His reach, that your parenting can be infiltrated with the power of God, that you can live holy in your singleness because He will empower you to do that.”
Shirer continued, “When you are not anticipating that, that is also available to you — not just everybody else, but you, that you can expect and experience those things in your life. That’s where the breakdown is. And it’s time for us to go beyond just being hearers of the word, but being doers and experiencing all that we know to be true of our God.”

“Follow Him not just as your Savior but as your priority, your first love, your Lord. To move beyond being a believer to becoming His disciple,” a description of the book reads. “Because there is a difference.”
It continues, “Salvation is a gift of God. It’s free. It’s grace. It’s the cross. Discipleship comes at a high cost. It’s surrender. It’s effort. It’s a daily choice to lay down your life and follow His. Few believers choose this route, but the ones who do will experience the abundance that only the surrendered life can offer. It’s the one choice standing between you and the life of freedom and fulfillment, of peace and purpose you’ve always wanted. I Surrender All is all about making that choice.”

Shirer discussed the topic of surrender further during an episode of “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast.”
“It is a day-by-day [process],” she explained. “Day by day, saying to Him, ‘Okay, Lord, I’m going to hand this back to you, and then I’m going to release it to you, and then I’m going to have to trust as to whether or not you’re going to give it back to me in the way that I’d like you to, or if you’re going to bring something full-circle in my life in an entirely different season that allows me, at least, to understand your choices for me, Lord.’”
