The Kendrick Brothers teased their new project, though they are still keeping it under wraps until a future date.

“Our team has been hard at work cooking up something new, and we can’t wait to share more. Stay tuned,” the brothers posted on Facebook.

While they did not provide any more details along with the post, in August they revealed they are remaking their very first movie – perhaps the project they were teasing this time around.

“So today is the first day we’re going to go open the production office here in Rio, Brazil for reshooting FLYWHEEL,” Alex Kendrick said on Aug. 1. “We’re so excited to be doing that. It’s going to be better quality, but we’re going to shoot it in Portuguese.”

“It’s going to be a good day, and we’ve been praying about this for some time, excited to be working with this team,” he added. “We’re going to reshoot FLYWHEEL. Going to be a different name. We’re updating a lot. The quality is going to be better and [the] title a little bit different. But the culture is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and we can’t wait for you to see it.”

FLYWHEEL released in 2003, kicking off the brothers’ decades long work in the industry which has resulted in multiple faith-based movies that have reached millions of viewers. The movie was shot with a budget of $20,000 and featured a church-member cast, rather than professional actors. Since then, they have produced FACING THE GIANTS, WAR ROOM, OVERCOMER and more, receiving multiple Teddy Bear Awards® from Movieguide® along the way. A portion of Movieguide®’s review of FLYWHEEL reads:

FLYWHEEL is a compelling movie despite the fact that the camerawork and production quality is very low. Alex Kendrick does a terrific job as Jay Austin. He also does a good job directing the movie. Some of the actors are weak, including the wife, but overall the story, which is extremely well written, commands the audience’s attention, and in fact, keeps you on the edge of your seat. What is truly amazing is that this was produced by a church. With a little polish, FLYWHEEL could be a contender in major release. It is worth a bigger budget.

It is, however, possible that the Kendrick Brothers are teasing an entirely different project, which would be equally as exciting, as all of their movies offer life-changing insights into life as a Christian. Either way, it is encouraging to see the Kendrick Brothers continue to produce high-quality faith-based content more than 20 years after they started.
