Servant at Heart: Chris Stapleton Helps Clean up Following ACM Awards Win

Country music star and now named entertainer of the year at the 2023 Country Music Awards, Chris Stapleton decided to stay behind to help clean up after the ACM awards.

No matter how many awards Stapleton has won, he has always been known for his compassion and servant’s heart.

In a completely impromptu moment as Stapleton and his team were exiting Ford Center, a photo of Stapleton was captured still in his suit, jeans and jacket. With a leaf blower in hand, Stapleton was spotted clearing out the confetti that was left near the stage following the awards ceremony.

Photographer for Getty Images, John Shearer posted the photo on his Instagram page writing, “Entertainer of the Year Chris Stapleton, photographed at the end of the night at the “58th Academy Of Country Music Awards” in Frisco, TX. @GettyImages#LeicaQ2

Stapleton’s wife, Morgane Stapleton commented, “Love this so much.”

Later, Stapleton himself posted the photo on his social media accounts and stated, “If you’re gonna be a dreamer, you better be a doer.”

In his acceptance speech, Stapleton didn’t think he deserved the honor of entertainer of the year.

He stated, “I’m shocked, truly. By any imaginable metric, I don’t deserve this. There are so many other great people in this category. I get up there and try to play music every night. I write songs and make records and I never thought of myself as someone who would win this award.”

The entertainer of the year award was Stapleton’s first in his career though he has won many awards at various ceremonies since 2015. Stapleton has collected three American Country Music Awards for male artist of the year and three album of the year wins. In addition, Stapleton has won a trophy for songwriter of the decade.
