More Detail:

WIN THE WILDERNESS is an adventure gameshow where six British couples compete for a remote house in Alaska on Ose Mountain. The couples must complete wilderness survival challenges, and the winners could get the chance to live in Alaska.

In the second episode, titled “A Walk on the Wild Side,” the first couple to go to Ose Mountain returns to the camp with the other couples. The latest challenge is announced to the group that morning. The challenge is to use a map to follow a path and to get across the Alaskan tundra to a hill. The group splits into two teams. one team comprised of all the men and the other team all women. The person in each group who stands out the most for their leadership and communication skills will win the challenge.

The winners of the challenge are Emily and Mark, who get the opportunity to visit Ose Mountain and talk to Duane and Rena Ose. While staying at Ose Mountain, Emily and Mark help Duane with the upkeep and mow the lawn for him. They also help him fix a window in the attic so that sunlight comes through. The couples have dinner with each other and talk about their future if they inherit Ose Mountain.

Moreover, there is another challenge in this episode where the couples go to the shooting range to learn more about keeping themselves safe in Alaska. A speaker does a presentation about gun laws in Alaska and why it’s important for them to carry guns in the state. Following this presentation, the couples go to the shooting range to practice their skills.

At the end of the episode, Duane and Rena make a decision about whether they want to keep Mark and Emily in the running for inheriting Ose Mountain. Although Mark has other obligations back in the UK with his sheep farm, Duane and Rena decide to keep them in the mix because they have survival skills and would be good owners of the property.
