Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is keeping her focus on God as she breaks records and heads to her second Olympic Games in Paris, France.

On Sunday, McLaughlin-Levrone ran a world record speed for the 400M hurdle event.

Movieguide® reported:

With a time of 50.65 seconds, the athlete will now compete in the 400M hurdle event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This is the “fifth world record she has broken in three years. She was also the first woman to break the 52- and 51-second marks in the 400-meter hurdles,” Bleacher Report wrote.

After the race, McLaughlin-Levrone was shocked by her performance. The only thing she could do was give the glory back to God.

“Honestly, praise God! I was not expecting that but He can do anything. Anything is possible in Christ. So, yeah, I’m just amazed, baffled and in shock,” McLaughlin-Levrone said when asked what went through her mind as she broke another world record.

The athlete still does not have much to say. She recently shared photos of her world record run on her social media.

“Normally I have a lot to say, but today all I can say is how grateful I am. Thank you Jesus. ???” she wrote.

“3x Olympian. 5x WR Holder. Paris here we come! ✨????,” she added.

Fellow USA track and field athlete and Olympic gold medal winner Justin Gatlin commented, “TO GOD BE THE GLORY ?? You have shown the world what hard work and dedication can be for a talented individual.”

“You have shown the world that using all of your God given talents can make dreams come true,” he continued. “But most of all you have been a great representation of a Warrior of God by having unwavering faith patients and Grace through failure and unimaginable success ?? You are truly amazing!!!”

Allyson Felix, another multi-time Olympic gold medalist,  wrote, “Congrats Syd❤️.”

Several other fans offered their congratulations to McLaughlin-Levrone.

“An inspiration in SO many ways!! Go crush it Sydney,” one person wrote.

“So happy for you ??. God is amazing,” another follower said.

In a separate video posted by NBC News, McLaughlin-Levrone evaluated her performance.

“I crossed that line and I said, ‘Oh Lord Jesus, it’s a fire!'” McLaughlin-Levrone said, quoting the viral video of a woman on the news. “Then I said, ‘Thank You, Lord,’ because I was shocked … by the grace of God.'”
