WHEN CALLS THE HEART Will Air a Day Early for This Very Good Reason

Hearties, rejoice! The next episode of WHEN CALLS THE HEART will be airing one day early.
“WHEN CALLS THE HEART Season 12 Episode 6 — titled ‘When Autumn Leaves Begin to Fall’ – will premiere on Saturday, February 8, at 10pm ET,” Dexerto reported, a day earlier than its usual Sunday slot.
So, why has the episode been moved up in the week? Feb. 9 is Super Bowl Sunday.
“It’s standard practice for broadcasters to rejig their release schedules around the Super Bowl,” the website continued. “Would you rather give fans a new episode early as a one-off bonus or tank a show’s ratings because everyone is watching something else?”
Fans won’t want to miss this upcoming episode, as it features a guest performance from LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE star Melissa Gilbert.
Parade reported that the actress will appear in “a two-episode arc” as “Georgie McGill, a forensic investigator with ties to Bill Avery.”
“If you didn’t know, Michael Landon, Jr. is an executive producer on the series.” Parade shared. “His father, Michael Landon, was a producer on LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, which starred Gilbert as Laura Ingalls. The elder Landon also starred in the show as Charles Ingalls, Laura’s father.”

Fans can also expect some upcoming turmoil for the residents of Hope Valley.
During an event at this year’s Hallmark Christmas Experience, star Erin Krakow said there are some “really difficult, emotional stories” coming up this season.
“We get to see a few different chapters for Elizabeth and Nathan,” she said. “We get to see them lean into this blended family. We get to see them really lean on each other through some really difficult, emotional stories.”
In another panel, actor Kevin McGarry spoke of Elizabeth and Nathan’s journey, saying, “It’s very sweet; it’s dangerous at some points. We get into a very deep, emotional storyline that we really have to lean on each other.”
Krakow added, “As they’re navigating single parenthood, it’s nice to see them have each other’s backs. I know that for Elizabeth, when times get tough this season and they do, Nathan really is a rock for her.”
